Digic Pictures: transition to UE5
In 2021-2023, at Digic Pictures, in the real-time cinematics division, we set out the goal to create a uniform production pipeline for Unreal Engine 5. This included gathering and selecting all previously created and ununiformly maintained production tools, refactoring them to be based on unified and expandable base architecture, update them to Unreal Engine 5 and distribute them to the graphics artists and other members of the production teams.
My responsibilities were to standardize all the Unreal Engine 4 pipeline tools and plugins into a uniform system, update them to Ureal Engine 5 and keep them up-to-date after the transition.
